In 1993, I earned a Master’s Degree in Elementary Education with a specialization in Reading and Literacy. Since becoming a certified teacher in Florida, I have been fortunate to gain experience in many different areas of education. I have taught almost every elementary grade level, including Kindergarten, 1st, 2nd, 4th, and 5th grades.
In 1998, I worked as a Title 1 Teacher, supporting small groups of students in grades K-6 to strengthen their reading skills. In 2000, I transitioned to the role of Teacher Technology Specialist for the Brevard County School Board, where I spent four years training teachers on how to integrate technology into their classrooms effectively. Each of these experiences has presented unique challenges that have helped me grow as an educator.
I have been part of the Freedom 7 community since 2004. As a certified Media Specialist and IB Coordinator, I am passionate about inspiring students to become lifelong readers and learners!
