6th Grade

We are so excited to get starting making music in the 2022-2023 school year! Ms. Hamilton and Mrs. Clouser have been working hard to create fun and challenging lessons for orchestra, and we can't wait to share them with you!

In order to make sure every student is set up for success, please begin making arrangements to rent an instrument as soon as possible! Woodbury has a very limited number of instruments to loan, but rental instruments are much nicer and we highly encourage families to rent if they are able. In 6th grade orchestra students will be learning advanced musical skills such as dynamics, slurred and hooked bowings, accents, finger patterns one and two, and dotted rhythms with an emphasis on ensemble skills. Students will need to bring their instrument, folder, and Woodbury Orchestra book to school on their lesson days in order to fully engage with the content.
