Dear SHS Middle School families,
We hope that you are enjoying a wonderful and restful summer! As we look ahead toward August and our return to school, we wanted to share a few important updates and reminders.
School Supplies: Please reference the attached PDF to see this year's Middle School supply list. This list includes both school-provided items (e.g., copybooks, folders) and materials we kindly request families to purchase for their children and our classrooms in preparation for the new school year.
Summer Reading & Family Project: We hope you and your child are enjoying your shared reading of Restart by Gordon Kormon! This experience will culminate in a creative Family Character Collage due on the first day of school. Full project details can be found in the following file attachment: One Book, One Middle School- Summer 2025.
"One Book, One Middle School" Picnic: To celebrate our shared reading initiative, we've planned a special brown bag picnic lunch for students at the Police Field on Wednesday, 9/17. Additional details and permission slips will be sent home once school begins.
Save the Date—Back to School Night: Join us for Back to School Night on Thursday, 9/11. Parents will have the opportunity to discuss Restart and connect with teachers and fellow families.
Family Survey: To help us better support your child's learning and well-being, we ask that you please complete a brief survey created by our Middle School teachers and administrators.
