Calling all dog lovers! Discover the exciting world of dogs through fun activities, games, and hands-on learning. Students will explore different dog breeds and their unique personalities, learn how dogs communicate, practice basic training techniques, and discover the important skills needed to care for dogs safely and responsibly. Whether you already have a dog, really want a dog or simply love them, this class is sure to be a paws-itively fun learning adventure for all!

Explore fun STEM challenges that spark curiosity, creativity, and problem-solving
Each day blends fun, friendship, and personal growth in a supportive and uplifting environment. Girls will leave not only with projects they’re proud of, but also with a stronger sense of who they are and the confidence to believe in themselves. This one day program will be led by faculty and staff at OWWMS engaging in a variety of activities to help students entering grade 6 to manage and identify anxieties, maintain relationships, establish connections, and build community. Our goals are to increase student engagement, attendance, resilience, and social connections. We want to help students establish and maintain emotional regulation skills, as well as familiarize them with supports in the building.

Exploring Agriculture is an experiential program where students visit local farms to learn about agribusinesses. We’ll first meet at Harrison Avenue Elementary to learn about the businesses we’ll visit, and then depart. This program will be interactive, so students should dress for activities on farms. Participants will learn where their food comes from, the role of agriculture on the environment, and get up close and personal with our local farm animals and the products they make.

Join us as we start to culminate our own Tanglewood vegetable garden. We will create recipes and taste different foods. We will go over the process of planting, learn about composting as well as planting fall flowers.

Get ready for an action-packed summer at our Sport Day Camp! Designed for young athletes of all skill levels, this program offers a fun and supportive environment where kids can stay active, build friendships, and develop confidence through teamwork. We will emphasize sportsmanship and skill-building in a positive, encouraging setting. Whether your child is trying a sport for the first time or looking to improve, they’ll have a great time staying active and making new friends!
Each week features a different sport focus:
Week 1: Basketball – learn basic skills, play fun games, and build coordination
Week 2: Volleyball – develop teamwork, communication, and introductory techniques
Week 3: Wiffleball – enjoy a classic summer favorite with an emphasis on fun and friendly competition
