Grade: This group is for students entering grades 3 through 5 who love to read alone and with a buddy, love to hear a good story, and also for those that might be reluctant readers who haven't found their favorite types of books and genres yet.

Cooking With Kids - Connecting the Kitchen to Math, Science, Reading, and Writing! - SESSION FULL

Grade: Students entering grades 4 & 5 will have fun while learning their way around the kitchen. We will discuss safety, hygiene, and of course food! We will learn about portion sizes, food choices, and balancing a healthy diet. Students will follow recipes as they prepare a light meal each day. We will also create a recipe book at the end of the week for students to take home.

Create a Character Education Picture Book - Grades 3 & 4
Description: After sharing and listening to a variety of character education books and having circle discussions, students entering grades 3 and 4 will create their own character education book to be printed and shared using Canva and other technology programs. Parents will be invited in to hear the creations from their children as the class culminates on the final day.

Description: Join us for an exploration of The Olympics. Through center activities, we will discover everything there is to know about these exciting games - the history and traditions behind them, the sports and symbols that are associated with them and this summer's games in Paris, France. Our time together will conclude with our own version of the Olympic games. What a fun way to learn!

Grade: This two week session for students entering grades 2 through 5 is a fun and engaging class where young writers and artists will embark on daily adventures in creativity! Through exciting writing prompts and hands-on craft projects, students will unleash their imaginations and bring their ideas to life. This class is perfect for budding authors and craft enthusiasts who want to explore the exciting world of storytelling and creativity.

No Bake Baking - Grades 3 through 5

Grade: Students entering grades 3 through 5 will learn basic kitchen skills, but also have fun making fun food items using math skills with measurement and reading and writing skills with the recipes.

Format: This course, for individuals who are interested in exploring their creativity through both English language arts and visual arts, will have two sessions this summer - one for students entering grades 3 through 5 and one for students entering grades 6, 7 & 8. Over the course of two weeks, students will engage in a variety of activities and projects that will challenge them to think creatively and develop their skills in writing, drawing, and other forms of expression. By the end of the course, students will have created their very own graphic novel!
