Halloween Dance

By: Selene Raney and Sophia DeRousse

The SGMS Halloween Dance is on October 18. The dance will last from 5:30 to 7:30. It costs 7 dollars to get in. You get two pieces of pizza of your choice. Once you leave, you can’t come back, so make sure you are ready to leave when you do. Make sure your parents are at the front of the school by 7:30.

You should have good behavior and act like you would during school; respectful and mature. You can wear your halloween costumes to school as long as it is school appropriate. (no masks) There will be a costume contest for every grade. You can also bring extra money for the concession stands and prizes you can win. Have fun at the dance!

Picture Make-Up Day

By: Elaina Schemel

Attention all guardians and students: make-up picture day is coming up on Friday, October 11, 2019. If you were not here before school started to get your picture taken, you will need to come on this day. Pictures are going to be taken in the old gym and will start 1st hour. You will need to dress appropriately, but you can bring a change of clothes if you don’t want to wear it all day. Of course, the clothes need to be following the dress code guidelines.

Group Photos

By: Aiden Meyer and Bryant Schwent

Group photos will be coming up soon and will be used for the yearbook. For group photos students need to act appropriately and listen to the person who is taking the photo. The person that is taking the photo will tell the students where to sit because it will be in name order. The pictures will always be taken in advisory. Again, please behave during the picture and it will go quickly and smoothly.

If your a SGMS Buddy your group photo is Wednesday October 2nd. There is no set date for any group photo besides this one so far. The dates of group photos will be random and could be any day. This means that students will always need to be listening to announcements to know when pictures are. Also, for pictures if your group has a shirt for the group, make sure that you are wearing it for the photo. Don’t forget to smile!

Veterans Day

Parent-Teacher Conference

By : Gwen Mcklin and Lily Largent

Parent-Teacher conferences are October 24th, 2019.

On parent-teacher conferences we have a half-day. The students get out of school at 1:00 pm and the conferences start at 1:45 and end at 8:00 pm. You cannot speak with teachers between 4 and 5 because that's when the teachers eat dinner.

You do not have to go to all of your child’s teachers. You can choose what teachers you want to visit. You can pick up your kid's grades in the office and go at whatever pace you choose. Please contact the office if you have any questions regarding this night.
