- Our Pacing Guide for our Middle School Curriculum is attached. This is used to stay on track with our curriculum. It is essential to the Middle School Math Department, we follow this pacing guide as close as possible. However, we will make changes based on the needs of our students.

- A few highlights of our year:
- Better Buy - students film commercials deciding which item has the cheaper unit rate which makes it the best buy.
- Financial Literacy (Project Based Learning) - students choose a job, research an occupation, choose bank accounts based on interest rates, put ma percentage of their salary into a savings account, take out a loan, and calculate the interest on these loans.
- Discovering Pi (Inquiry Lesson) - Students measure circular objects using measuring tapes to approximate the number which will be pi.
