*Please send all notes on paper separate from your child's planner.
*If your child forgets the homework papers at school or does not complete the assignment at home, please have him/her tell us when the school day begins.
Our policy is that incomplete homework is completed during extra time.
Homework includes:
-Turning in daily homework assignments written in planner
-Studying Spelling Words for Friday tests
-Practicing reading High Frequency Words (listed on Refrigerator Paper)
-Reading aloud with a family member for about 15 minutes, 4 days each week (Don't forget to color your monthly reading log!)
-Practicing the Sign of the Cross, Our Father, Hail Mary, Glory Be, Grace, and the Prayer to My Guardian Angel
-Studying the current Math Facts list (starting in October)
Ideas for Studying Spelling:
-Pretest and write incorrect words 3 x each (see file below)
-Make spelling word cards to sort by spelling rules (see file below)
-Cut and scramble/unscramble each Spelling word card
-Fill in missing letters
-Complete Spelling Center Ideas (see file below)
-Spelling City (games, etc. for weekly spelling word practice)
Ideas for Math Fact Practice:
-Math-aids Addition and Math-aids Subtraction (create a practice test for your child)
-"Math Flash Cards" app for tablets
