Virtual Resource Library

We all have different learning styles and needs. Please feel free to share with me any resources that you may find are useful to your child, so others may also benefit from them.

I will post links to rubrics, graphic organizers, helpful reference guides, etc. for students to use as home and class instructional supports on this page.

Below are pdf's of sections of the "well loved" textbooks that directly address grade level standards. Students can reference these when needed for homework or studying so as to avoid taking the physical (fragile) textbook home.

There are also links to online sites that students will avail of throughout the year for practice and mastery of content skills. I will add more throughout the year.

I will utilize the Quizlet online platform to share vocab and terminology that students need to practice/study for different units. There they can utilize the e-flashcards, take practice tests, and play games to help them master the given content. Students will be given a link to my Quizlet classroom on the Google Classroom.

STEM Seed Grant Opportunity

Our 7th grade students are connecting their in-class learning to our local ecology in a year-long special marine science initiative called "Tracking the Seas" all made possible through the funding of a Carney Foundation Seed Grant. Each month students will be charting "real life" data from analysis of water samples that students at Bishop Stang High School are collecting and sharing throughout the year from Apponagansett Point Harbor in Dartmouth, MA. Students will learn about plankton and the marine ecosystem and then view and photograph various plankton first-hand using high-tech video scopes acquired through the grant.
