Duke of Edinburgh Bronze Award - Expedition Section
Your Duke of Edinburgh Bronze Award expedition will be planned in school with your teachers. You will learn how to use a map and compass as well as a variety of skills that will help you navigate your way around the route.
The route itself will be pre-planned and you will use route cards that you prepare in school (along with your map and compass) to find your way.
Your overnight stay will be under canvas and you will learn how to pitch and strike a tent. In addition to this you will learn how to cook using a camping stove. There are no open fires used on DofE!
When completing each section of your DofE programme, you should develop a programme which is specific and relevant to you.
This sheet will help you to plan your DofE programme for the Expedition section.
Your teachers will help you with this section.
During your expedition you will plan your journey on the route cards above. They will help you to ensure that you are following the right path.
You will complete these in school with the rest of your expedition team.
