Welcome to the Learning Resource Centre Portal 

From this page you can access  services and products on site or from home. (Using a PC, laptop, tablet or  phone).  The Learning Resource Centre provides  physical lending collections of more than 20,000 titles consisting of books, journals ,DVDs, and audio books. - Open from 8.30am till 4.30pm Monday to Friday.

Online via this site we offer access to millions of articles, eBooks, illustrations and videos via the catalogue/twenty eight databases/websites. 

The LRC physical space currently offers a seperate collaborative/small group  study room( booking requirement ), 4 quick access PCs and 77 bookable PCs. Students will find an environment conducive to individual research, and silent study.  

The librarian offers independent learning support including sessions on how to search across course specific databases, referencing style training, navigating across the LRC portal and guidance on qualitative internet usage and copyright. It is possible to make a booking for a class, small group or individual appointment.  These support services are available throughout the year. 

Email the librarian at library@sfx.ac.uk  for an online or in person appointment between 9.30am and 3.30pm Monday to Friday.

From home it is possible to access most subscription databases. For further details of what services and products are available please read  the user guide(s) and  related course resource guides.
