Kira Del Olmo grew up in Palo Alto and Oregon House, a small town in northern California. She has a passion for languages and teaching. She speaks German and Spanish. She majored in German studies at the University of California Santa Cruz and lived abroad in Germany and Austria. She studied Spanish Studies at the University of Barcelona and lived a total of five years in Spain.

Kira pursued her Masters of Arts in English with a Concentration in TESOL (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages) from San Francisco State University and taught ESL at Skyline College, San Francisco State University and Academy of Art University.

She holds a Single Subject World Language teaching credential and taught high school Spanish and Debate for two years at Raoul Wallenberg High School. She currently teaches high school Spanish at George Washington High School in San Francisco.

In her free time, Kira Del Olmo enjoys dancing, hiking, practicing yoga and spending time with her friends and family.
