Love As: Stevie Wonder
April 2026
The senior class of the Ruth Asawa School of the Arts Spoken Arts Department presents Love As: Stevie Wonder. This is the second annual artist tribute show and the first to be directed by the senior class of Spoken Arts.
Throughout Stevie Wonder’s discography, love is the enduring pulse. Romantic love. Familial love. Heartbreak and reconciliation. Love of self. Love between friends. These many shades of love inspire our classroom as we build this performance together.
As young artists, we understand the weight our words can carry in an increasingly desperate world. This show is our offering, our interpretation of love through poetry, performance, and the legacy of Stevie Wonder’s music.
