This means that students will not only get a chance to learn some choreographed dances, but they will have many opportunities to explore the following:

- learning body awareness and control to express themselves in different ways
- creating their own movement phrases with guidance
- experimenting with changing dynamics of movement (levels, force, pathways, size, speed, etc.)
- observing dances - learning how to observe and share their reactions
- performing dances for others
- connecting dance and creative movement to their family's cultures, world cultures, and historical eras.
