A Day in Life

A Day in the Life of a SOTA Conservatory Dancer:

After a delicious breakfast in the cafeteria, we head into academics from 8:40 to 12:40. Once we are released from our classes we sashay up to the dancer bench to eat lunch, chit chat and soak up some sun. The dance bus arrives promptly at 1:15, and we all hop on. We start the drive down to Alonzo King Lines Ballet, where our daily dance classes take place. Along the ride, one may find us singing our hearts out in group karaoke or taking a quick power nap. Upon arriving at Lines, we file into the elevator up to the 5th floor. From there we cram into the dressing room to change, use the restroom, and fill up water bottles all in preparation for the dance classes ahead. Now the dancing starts! In our assigned levels, we take part in dancing, stretching, and choreography from 1:45 to 3:45. At 3:45 we converge in a studio for announcements and department choreography. Once the clock hits 4:00 the school day is over so we pack up and head home!
