MISSION STATEMENT

The primary vision of the RMS Culture and Climate Team is to create a welcoming atmosphere for all students and staff through uplifting the ideas, voices, and needs of our community. Our work is grounded in research-based best practices for Tier 1 supports in order to be consistently implemented across all settings within our school. Together we empower students so they have the agency to flourish and feel a sense of belonging in our school community.

A sense of belonging is a foundation for well-being, confidence, and growth. When students and staff feel connected to their school community—safe to be themselves, supported in their challenges, and celebrated in their successes—they are more likely to engage fully, take healthy risks, and thrive. Belonging helps reduce isolation, builds resilience, and fosters empathy. It creates an environment where people aren’t just present—they’re empowered.
