And here are the winners for MLK Middle School's Student Government (SGOV) team for school year 2024-2025! The incoming team, one student per grade level, is all set to leave their mark with fresh ideas and energy in school life.
Student Government Advisor
Heading this year's team is Ms. Ulrich, whose supervision, guidance, and mentorship ensure the students to execute their ideas in a good and positive way.
Student Government Team and Representatives
President: Justin Chen (8th Grade)
Leading the student body this year is Justin Chen, a dedicated 8th grader with a clear vision for making school an even greater place for all students. His campaign motto, "Opportunity For All," has inspired students to believe in his vision, and he looks forward to serving with his team to implement fresh ideas that enhance student life.
Vice Presidents:
Supporting Justin in the running of SGOV are three experienced Vice Presidents, one from each grade, to represent each and every person:

β’ Edmond Wu (Grade 7)
β’ Katelyn Li (Grade 6)
Each of the VPs will bring grade-based ideas to help make decisions that will please the entire student body.
Secretary: Lilah Lee (Grade 8)
As Secretary, Lilah Lee will maintain the SGOV well-organized and up-to-date, recording meetings and ensuring there is smooth communication within the team and throughout the school.
Treasurer: Kimberly (Grade 6)
Kimberly, serves as Treasurer. She'll be dealing with SGOV's budget and maintaining financial transparency.
