This is ME
Hello, My name is Mr Levexier and also feel free to call me Coach L .
I grew up in San Francisco living in districts all over the city, from Fillmore to Mission to BVHP, to Potrero Hill, to Noe Valley when I was at SFSU to North Beach during the 1989 Earthquake. After years of advocating for students and families for educational equity I have crossed the aisle and joined the PE ranks of the SFUSD.
This is My Family
The picture above is of my daughter, Brianna, graduating from Mission High School. She is now a cake baker in Atlanta, My son, Dishon, also attended Mission.
My family history begins with the Groves from Kentucky whose story is chronicled in the book: "No Small Potatoes" from Penguin Books. Our family history continues in San Francisco's Fillmore Neighborhood from the 1930s until the present.
We have a proud legacy of entrepreneurial excellence and political leadership in both Kansas City and San Francisco.
My Hobbies
My main hobby is coaching wrestling which transcends the role of sport and is a solution in today's quest for educational equity.
As an athlete, I was one of the best wrestlers ever for the San Francisco Section, winning Varsity All City Championships four years straight, from Freshman to Senior year.
After attending Galileo my first two years and Balboa, my Junior and Senior years, I moved on to San Francisco State University where I won the State Collegiate Championships, was a finalist in the NCAA tournament, and inducted into the hall of fame. I was actually, the last SFSU Gator to go to qualify for the NCAA DI Championship.
As a coach, I coached the best performance ever for a SF School in the CIF State Wrestling Championships, when two of my Riordan wrestlers medalled in 2013.
Today, girls and women's wrestling is one of the fastest growing sports in the US and became an emerging NCAA Division I sport beginning next year. So there are scholarship opportunities galore for my youngest daughter Gina Raye (pink coat then, now 12 years old) and her entire generation.
