Welcome to the Wellness Center at Glen Park Elementary!
Our Wellness Center is a dedicated space where students can take a break, recharge, and practice mindfulness in a supportive environment. Open to all students, and sometimes adults too, it’s a calming spot where young minds can find balance amidst the school day’s hustle and bustle. Whether it’s a 10-minute sensory break or quiet time with fidgets, art supplies, books, or games, the center offers students a chance to relax, refocus, and reset.
But our Wellness Center is more than just a relaxation space—it’s a hub for mental, emotional, and social growth. We offer a variety of programs designed to help our students thrive, including:
Positive Behavior Intervention Supports (PBIS): Encouraging positive behaviors to create a nurturing and respectful school environment.
Restorative Practices: Fostering conflict resolution and relationship-building through dialogue and understanding.
Small Group Counseling: Helping students navigate challenges with professional support in a small, supportive setting.
Mentor For Success Program: Pairing students with mentors to guide them in academic and personal development.
PAX Support: Promoting peace and positive actions in the classroom.
Lunch Bunch: Offering students a fun and social space to build friendships and practice social skills.
Whether you're here to learn more about what we do or find valuable resources on mental health and wellness, we're excited to be part of your journey!
Community School Coordinator
I began my career in Youth Development at Glen Park in 2006, serving as the After-School Site Coordinator until 2012. This is now my second year back at Glen Park after 12 years with the YMCA. My early years at Glen Park laid the foundation for my career, teaching me the importance of respecting and uplifting the community you serve, and showing me that a school thrives when the entire community is engaged.
I am deeply passionate about serving the whole child. To me, that means ensuring every student feels supported by the adults they encounter, develops a sense of belonging in the Glen Park community, learns how to resolve conflicts with empathy, and ultimately enjoys a positive and meaningful school experience.
Who is Bill outside of work? He is a Bay Area sports fan and soccer coach to his 6-year-old daughter, Krystal, who is a 1st grader at Nesbit in Belmont. He is a son of 2nd and 3rd generation San Franciscans and loves the outdoors, spending time with family and friends. He is also incredibly lucky and happy to be back a part of the Glen Park community.
