The Varsity Volleyball team took home the gold at the Hillsdale Day & Knights Volleyball Tournament. Your Mustangs went up against SHCP in the gold division championship match and won 2-1 (23-25, 27-25, 15-8). The girls showed a lot of grit to force a third set and never looked back. They started with a 6-0 start and SHCP had no answers as the Mustangs had all of the momentum on their side. Zoe Campbell ran a great offense which had amazing contributions from every hitter on the team. Kanya Goonetileke and Kylah Kaywood were forces in the middle while Ana Garcia Cruz, Chloe Lam, and Katherine Chan dominated on the outside. Kyra Cheung and Kayla Tom both had amazing defensive efforts throughout the day. It was a great team effort from all members as they finished with an undefeated record of 4-0. The girls will use this experience to help push them along in league play where they are currently 3-0 and in first place.
