Both of these scholarships will be offered next year, so something for 11th grade students to start looking at too. And worth mentioning, the Lewis Butler Scholarship is also open to students who are already in college — so students entering as freshman, sophomore or juniors. Deadline is this coming Sunday, so still some time!

Also noteworthy. The application for the CAPTA scholarships is now closed. It’s a smaller scholarship, but it is most definitely worth applying for since very few students in 2nd District have typically applied.

UC Berkeley Undocumented HS & Community College
The UndocuScholars Program at UC Berkeley is a free, virtual, 10-month peer mentorship program led by undocumented UC Berkeley students, guiding undocumented high school seniors & community college transfer students through the UC college application process, financial aid & scholarships, and transitioning to college.

The PTSA is awarding up to $500 scholarships for up to 15 graduating seniors. Students qualify and apply by Spring 2024. Our selection committee will choose the winners from among the students who apply.
Qualifications: (Must meet ALL the qualifications below)
Current graduating senior at Abraham Lincoln High School
Cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher
Plan to attend a university, community college, an accredited vocational or technical school in Fall 2024.
Application Procedure:
Fill out the application form completely
Part A – Cumulative GPA (Academic Counselor must fill and sign)
Part B – Short Essay Response - not to exceed 200 words. Respond to the following prompt using examples from your experiences to support your thoughts:
