Why should I join the ALHS PTSA?
As a PTSA member, you join a community that encourages student achievement and enriches the learning environment. You are getting involved in your child's school and you will be part of the solution, helping make positive changes in support of our students, teachers, and community. The ALHS PTSA plays an important role by supporting building improvements through advocacy and fundraising for curriculum-based programs and social events.

Attend PTSA meetings is an excellent way to meet and work with our principal, Shari Balisi and staff.
You will learn about the functioning of the school, important issues, PTSA activities, and programs.
Parents help teachers to understand students from the parents’ perspective and vice versa.
You can work towards making the school better and the best place to get a quality education.
Help fundraise for school programs, clubs, academies, etc.
Being a PTSA member allows members to have a say in how PTSA dollars are spent, as well as meet other parents.

When does the ALHS PTSA meet?
The ALHS PTSA meets on the 4th Wednesday of every month from 6:30pm to 8pm at the ALHS Library (2nd floor). All meetings are also available on Zoom.

What does the ALHS PTSA do?
The PTSA exists to strengthen the community at Lincoln by raising money to support the specific needs of our entire school so that every student will benefit from the extensive curriculum of ALHS. These classes include, but are not limited to: college preparatory courses; academic enrichment; performing arts; clubs and athletics, science, technology, engineering and math; and pathways including arts, media and entertainment; business and finance, education; energy; architecture; health science; and information and communication technology.
How do I join the ALHS PTSA?
The easiest way to join is online via ALHS PTSA’s TOTEM
Please note, there is a $1 processing fee per Totem membership. Families can also donate on Totem, but there is a processing fee of $0.05 for every $1 donated.
Alternatively, you can also fill out the membership/donation form (a.k.a. PTSA Support Form) and mail it with a check payable to ALHS PTSA, 2162 24th Ave, SF 94116. Remember, parents, students, families (grandparents, aunts, uncle, cousins, etc.), and teachers, can all join the PTSA. Show the strength of our school community!
How much does it cost to join ALHS PTSA?
The annual PTSA membership is $15 per person per school year. Membership begins the 1st day of school through June 30th. Each school year requires membership renewal, thus a grace period from July 1st through October 31st is included in your annual membership to allow members time to renew. Join here.
How do I get involved in the PTSA?
We love it when parents and students get involved! You can volunteer as much or as little as you want, help with specific projects, or be involved regularly. We appreciate your time and effort in strengthening our community for our students.
Will the PTSA hold fundraising events this year?
In the past, we have held events like a raffle and a gala dinner. Come join us and share your creative ideas at alhsptsa.info@gmail.com.
What does the PTSA do with the money it raises?
Donations from the Lincoln community, corporate matches, and fundraising are the primary ways we raise money to support Lincoln's many programs. In the past, we have funded projects such as the mural in the library, scholarships for seniors, curtains and a sound board for the Little Theater, Tinkers' Club, Graffiti Club, sports teams, and much, much more.

Rainbow Grocery at Folsom Street & 13th Street – Rainbow Grocery Script Program will donate 10% of purchases made by supporters directly to Abraham Lincoln High School PTSA. Supporter would visit Rainbow Grocery store, register, and select ALHS PTSA as their charity.
