Grade 6 ELA
AMPLIFY ELA is the reading and writing program that we use at Deer Creek. This program was selected after vigorous review of curriculum to best meet the learning targets of our learners. Each grade level has an online platform and a scheduled series of learning tasks. Grade 6 has individual units that systematically progress throughout the school year.
The learning scope and sequence includes one lesson per day from the units listed below for Grade 6. The sixth-graders will also have work they will need to complete for grammar and vocabulary practice and assessments. There is usually enough time allotted for students to complete the reading, vocabulary and grammar lessons in class, however, it might be necessary for some students to complete certain tasks for homework.

Mysteries & Investigations
The Chocolate Collection
The Greeks
Summer of the Mariposas
