Student Support
We understand that a great education requires great support. Our team operates as an active collaboration between grade-level teachers, learning specialist(s), counselor / SEL (social emotional learning) support, and the division head. Our learning community -- on campus or online -- includes working in the classroom, collaborating with teachers and families, and supporting students one-on-one and in small groups as appropriate.
The learning specialists know our students as learners and help guide our curriculum, meeting regularly with children, teachers, and parents/guardians. The Upper School counselor guides the social-emotional curriculum, chairs the SEL Task Force that covers PS-8 programming, meets with teaching teams (Grades 4-8) regularly, provides resources for families, and is a trusted community member that our students and parents/guardians can turn to in times of challenge.
Our team approach helps us educate the whole child.
