New International Student Information Sessions

You will receive an email with instructions to sign in to the Coursify Information Session course. In this course, you are required to complete all modules and obtain the Certificate of Completion. After that, you must complete the Immigration Check-in Form before the first day of class so that we can validate your I-20.

To complete this process, follow these steps:

1. Click on the link to create an account and setup your login credentials with Coursify.

2. Click on the "New International Student Information Sessions" Course.

3. Complete all required modules:

   • First Steps

   • Cultural Adjustment

   • Healthcare Resources

   • Academic Success

   • Campus Life Resources

   • Immigration Section

4. Complete the quiz included in the modules. You must score 100% to receive the Certificate of Completion.

5. Complete the Immigration Check-in Form:

   • Enter your U.S. address and phone number

   • Upload all required immigration documents

6. Attend the college-wide Orientation.

The International Information Session and Immigration Check-in is mandatory for all new F-1 students—even those who have previously attended SFBC—and must be completed no later than the end of the first week of classes.

Once all steps are completed, ISSD will validate your SEVIS record after the second week of classes. Only after validation can we assist with I-9 verifications, Driver’s Licenses, and Social Security Number applications.
