Elementary
Program overview:
Elementary Faith Formation, or Hearts on FIRE, is our model of elementary religious education. FIRE stands for "Family-Integrated Reglious Education." We are empowering parents to be the primary catechists of their children, and doing so in fun, creative, and interactive ways! Youth experience catechesis in their grade-specific classes most weeks, but then are joined by a parent, grandparent, or other special adult for family-oriented faith activities once a month.
Think you might like to join us? We are open to every single child and family. Are you a grandparent? Many grandparents bring their grandchildren! We have fun learning about the love of Jesus Christ every Monday night! We would love to welcome you!
Schedule:
Elementary faith formation for 2024-25 will begin on Monday, September 23rd from 6:15-7:30PM at the St. Joseph House (Waldo Campus). Stay tuned for additional details, including specific information regarding family nights and sacramental preparation, later in summer.

The Sacrament of Reconciliation (Confession) and the Sacrament of the Eucharist (First Holy Communion) are traditionally celebrated during the second grade year.
If your child will be a second grader at any of our public schools he/she needs to be enrolled in our Hearts on FIRE program.
Details for these sacraments come through faith formation and through Roncalli Catholic Schools.
