The South East Youth Organization is an instructional league for boys and girls in Second Grade through high school. SEYO organizes games, officials and facilities for youth to participate in sports at all skill levels. SEYO emphasizes sportsmanship, fair play and balanced competition across member organizations, team coaches and players. SEYO strives to have the best experience possible for our families.
SEYO is open to all kids from 2nd-12th grade. SEYO does not exclude people or treat them differently because of race, color, national origin, age, disability, religion, or gender.
Prior basketball experience is not required.
SEYO is made up of multiple organizations each with their own teams that compete. Teams consist of 7-10 players, and a coach. All team creations are done independently of SEYO. Many organizations have summer camps to teach K-2nd and form teams for 2nd grade.
Winter season is for 2nd thru 8th grade that plays for 10 weeks starting in December and ending in February.
Spring season is for 8th thru 12th Grade that plays 10 weeks starting in March and ending in May.
Games are held Sunday afternoons starting anywhere from 12-5pm.
Each division will play all their games at the same gym each week while times may vary. Gyms are located all around Orange County.
Practice times are determined by each individual organization.
Depending on grade levels games are 40 minutes long, and broken up into quarters or halves, and required playing times vary to ensure participation by all players.
