Voting Information

All voted ballots must be returned to the respective election office or ballot drop box 

no later than Tuesday, February 10, 2026 at 5:00 p.m. 

To return ballots by mail, please add correct postage. In order to ensure ballots arrive before the deadline, it is recommended that they be mailed no later than Tuesday, February 3rd.

Election Drop Boxes are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. No postage is needed on ballots placed in a drop box. 

Seward County Election Commission drop box locations are as follows: 

• LOCATION: 529 Seward St, Seward NE (North Side of the Courthouse)

Butler County Election Commission drop box locations are as follows:

• LOCATION: 451 N 5th St, David City NE 68632 (In front of East Entrance next to the flagpole)

Voters must provide voter ID information and sign the back of their return envelope in order for the ballot to be counted. 

Voter ID Information:

ID must have your name and photo. Acceptable forms of photo IDs include:

Nebraska driver's license/state ID U.S. passport, military ID, tribal ID Hospital, assisted-living facility or nursing home record Nebraska political subdivision ID (state, county, city, school, etc.) Nebraska college or university ID.
