Being a member of a New Hyde Park Athletic team is a privilege and an honor.  As a student-athlete comes a sense of responsibility as you represent yourself, your community, your family, and your team with the highest standard of excellence.  A Gladiator  will commit to doing his/her best in any and every situation, hold themselves and others accountable, and live up to the core values of respect, responsibility, integrity, sportsmanship and excellence.  You are responsible to:

2. Respect Officials, Coaches, and student-athletes and extend all courtesies to them

4. Obey the regulations and policies of New Hyde Park Memorial HS and the Sewanhaka Central High School District

You are an extension of the New Hyde Park Athletic Department.  MODEL GREAT SPORTSMANSHIP.  

• Please cheer for your child, his/her teammates, and effort by opposing players during games. Let the players PLAY.

• Please DO NOT coach your child from the sidelines. Let the coaches COACH.

• Please DO NOT yell at an official.  It is a difficult job.  They will make mistakes.  NEVER show disgust with comments or body language.  We MUST show world class sportsmanship ALWAYS. Let the referees OFFICIATE
