Futures Without Violence strives to prevent domestic violence through campaign work, policy advocacy, and community programs that empower individuals and groups working to end domestic violence globally.

Along with offering countless services to women suffering from domestic violence in Westmoreland County, the Blackburn Center also makes great strides in the prevention aspect of domestic violence through community outreach and events.

The Chronicle of Higher Education has the nation’s largest newsroom dedicated to covering colleges and universities. Their articles cover several topics, including campus sexual assault.

The Research Consortium on Gender-based Violence (RCGV) provides a collaborative, multi-disciplinary vehicle for Michigan State University faculty and students to engage in social action research that influences significant local, state, national and international practice and policy related to gender-based violence.

The National Center on Domestic Violence, Trauma & Mental Health provides training, support, and consultation to advocates, mental health and substance abuse providers, legal professionals, and policymakers as they work to improve agency and systems-level responses to survivors and their children. Our work is survivor defined and rooted in principles of social justice.The Center is one of four national Special Issue Resource Centers funded by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. Numerous resources and scholarly articles are available.

Through policy work, training, education, and advocacy, the Clery Center for Security works towards ending violent crimes in college campuses and assisting victims of these crimes.

The Jeanne Clery act, named in memory of a girl who was tragically raped and killed in her residence hall by a stranger in 1986, requires that colleges provide information to students about campus safety. The act also holds schools to a standard in the way they handle sexual assault reports and emergency situations.

A collaboration started by students and faculty associated with 5 universities, Pact5 focuses on preventing rape and sexual assault on college campuses by encouraging students to develop personalized documentaries designed to raise awareness and educate other students.

The National Coalition Against Domestic Violence is a national organization that seeks to eliminate violence in the home through providing education and raising public awareness as well as providing assistance to those affected by domestic violence.

PCAR is a non-profit organization that has been working toward eliminating sexual violence for 40 years; the agency advocates on behalf of victims of sexual violence and connects a network of 50 sexual violence centers serving 67 counties across Pennsylvania.
