Zinnia's to grow and Enjoy.
Zinnias are one of the easiest flowers to grow and can be grown in any hardiness Zone.
They make a beautiful cut flower and upon cutting will come back and re-bloom time after time.
Zinnias bloom continuously from summer into fall depending on the frost dates in your area.
They are great to grow with children and because of their ease many kids can grow these completely on their own.
There are tons of types, kinds, and colors.
Zinnias attract butterflies and can make a great bird seed.
Zinnias will reseed themselves, so it’s always a fun surprise to see what you’ll get year after year.

HOW TO GROW ZINNIAS | AN EASY GUIDE (Great website for details)
Full sun is essential with a minimum daylight temperature of 60 degrees F. Zinnias are adaptable but prefer fertile, humus-rich, well drained soil at pH preference 5.5 - 7.5. If soil is amended with compost, the flowers will grow more quickly. Sow seeds 1/4-inch deep. Space plants 6-10 inches apart. Germination occurs at 74 to 80 degrees F in 5 to 10 days. Sow in succession for a longer flowering display.

This is what my garden looked like right before I planted my seeds. I tilled the soil and put in 2 bags of mushroom fertilizer.
The baby zinnia are loving the sunshine! One problem- these zinnia are way too close together. I thinned them out (using a spoon to lift dirt and baby plant) and put them into dollar tree dishpans to give to friends. (like Mrs Chmura) These zinnia need space to grow- as you see in the pictures below! 6-8 inches apart
Here is what my garden looked like 7 weeks later! Glad I thinned out those seedlings!

Some of my zinnia are taller than me! That's because my son couldn't cut the middle flowers and they kept growing up instead of bushing out.
Penny doesn't try to play in the flowers anymore.
