Mrs. Jennifer Morris- "Classics for Kids" founding Educational Consultant and Designer, 1996-2002
WGUC Classical Public Radio, Cincinnati, Ohio (I began teaching at Seton in 2003)
When I was first teaching with computers, there weren't firewalls to keep kids safe. I wanted a "one stop shop" where my students were safe to explore and parents would not worry. My dream became a reality in "Classics for Kids." This site began as a newspaper corner, then booklets for Cincinnati music teachers, and then we moved to the internet. I did not create the webdesign- but the website is based on my own classroom games and how I wanted my students to learn. My activity sheets are still online as well as the games I helped design.LSO Play is a fascinating interactive site that lets viewers watch the London Symphony Orchestra from up to four HD camera feeds at the same time. Choose from the following options:
Elgar's Enigma Variations
Debussy's Prélude à l'après-midi d'un faune
Shostakovich's Fifth Symphony
Stravinsky's The Rite of Spring
Berlioz Symphonie Fantastique
Ravel's Bolero
