Parent Portal

Welcome to the parent portal! You will find helpful videos on how to operate the platforms we will be using, and creating an effective learning environment for your child at home. As well as some really important information from Mrs. Munoz.

A few notes: All of your assignments will be sent home weekly in a the form of a paper packet. Weekly packets will be available for pickup from our classroom K-104 every Friday after 3 p.m.. You can come and gather your items, at a time that is convenient for your family. There will be directions corresponding with the weekly activities. These activities will correspond with our Kindergarten curriculum, and themes. You will need to send me a picture of your completed assignments, every Friday.

Daily Check ins: Mrs. Munoz will be checking in daily with you and your child, either by phone, class dojo, or via our LIVE instruction sessions. This is how attendance will be counted for participation each day. Your child will need to participate in one of these ways each day in order to receive credit for attendance.

Materials: Each student will be provided with a crayon box, pencils, eraser, and glue stick. These will be for your child to keep to use at home.

Each student will also receive a math manipulative box in September - these materials will need to be returned after distance learning, so please do not lose and keep in a safe place.

Mrs. Munoz will also be sending home a fine motor kit the first week of school for your child to keep at home, in order to build hand muscles to be ready for writing. Your child is expected to complete 20 minutes of fine motor activities daily.

Workbooks: Workbook pages may be used to complete daily activities, these will be sent home in weekly packets if needed. In order to turn in your work, you will take a video or picture of your completed activities and send to Mrs. Munoz by/on Friday of each week. Please be sure your children are doing the writing, they need to be practicing handwriting everyday.
