I have been a nurse since 1993 and have worked as a credentialed school nurse for the last 26 years. Of those years I've been lucky to have worked with Sunnyvale School District since the 1999/2000 school year. I enjoy working with our students, their families, our staff and teachers to make sure our students' medical needs are addressed during the school day.

Susan Perry-Fort RN, BSN

I have been a licensed vocational nurse since 2018, but decided to return to nursing school to become an RN. I eventually graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing as well as a health services credential. In November 2023, I joined Sunnyvale School District as the new school district nurse.

I look forward to getting to know my students, families and district staff. I am very happy to be a part of Sunnyvale School District and working with the staff to help ensure a healthy student body.

Risa Bernasconi, RN MSN

District Nurse

I have been a nurse since 1992 and have worked in many different clinical settings as both a nurse and a nurse practitioner. I joined Sunnyvale School District in March, 2017 and have been enjoying getting to know the students, families and staff of the district. Preventative healthcare is an area of emphasis for me and I appreciate the resources Sunnyvale has in place to promote good nutrition and physical activity as well as for teaching tools for emotional health.
