Micro Scholarships

Raise.me - https://www.raise.me/join/morristown-jr-sr-high-school - One of the newest and fastest ways to start earning scholarship money is through micro scholarships. Starting in the 9th grade students can earn money towards college by doing things they are probably doing already. (ie: attend a college fair, take an honors course, take the PSAT, etc.) As of July 2018 the following Indiana colleges are participating in raise.me: Butler University, DePauw University, Indiana Tech, Indiana State University, IUPUI, IU Bloomington, IU South Bend, Indiana Weslyan University, Oakland City, Trine University, University of Notre Dame, University of Evansville, and Valparaiso University. There are also many colleges outside of Indiana participating. Students can start earning money by following colleges they are interested in and can follow multiple colleges. This allows students to see how much money they can earn at multiple schools prior to their senior year.

Most scholarship offered in the US and Indiana are specific to certain carreers, interests, hobbies, etc. Often High School Counselors are unaware of these scholarships. However, there are some great search engines to help you explore these scholarship options. Ms. Swaney encourages all college & technical school bound students to register with one college search engine during high school to maximize your scholarship possibilities. Below are three such search engines. Click on the link below to be directed to the website.
