Description
A Chromebook is a laptop powered by Google’s Chrome OS, designed mainly for internet-based learning and productivity. Students in grades 3-8 receive their own device starting in 3rd grade, unless it is a designated "refresh/update" year. Each student is assigned a school-managed Google account, which is linked to their specific Chromebook. This account also connects them to all school-approved educational software and digital curriculum, ensuring seamless access to learning tools and resources.
Chromebooks are simple, secure, and fast, making it a great tool for students. St. Serra uses Chromebooks for assignments, research, and collaboration through the Chrome Browser, Google Docs, and other educational apps. With cloud storage, students can access their work from anywhere, and built-in security features help keep them safe online. Chromebooks support learning both in the classroom and at home.
