Description
Canvas is an online learning platform that we use to help students and teachers stay connected. It serves as our Learning Management System where students can access assignments, submit homework, watch lessons, take quizzes, and communicate with teachers. As a parent, you can track your child’s progress, view their grades, and receive important updates from teachers. Canvas keeps everything organized in one place, making it easy for students to stay on top of their learning from anywhere.

Grades & Assignments:
How can I see my child’s grades and assignments?
Once logged in, you can access the "Grades" section to see their scores.
*Please note: Teachers may not update grades immediately after an assignment or test is submitted. Please allow up to a week or two depending on the assignment for grades to be updated.
To view/ find your child's homework assignments- click on the Course Card and locate the "Homework/ Assignments" icon/ button on the teacher's class front page.
Can I receive notifications about my child’s progress?
Yes! You can set up notifications for grades, assignments, and announcements through your account settings.
How do I check if my child has missing assignments?
You can view "Late" or "Missing" assignments in the Grades section, where they usually marked "Missing" or "Late".
*Please Note: Teachers can choose to automate grades so that assignments are marked as "Missing" after the due date. If a student submits an assignment late, the teacher will need to manually update the grade. Until then, you may see a "Missing" status for late submissions. Follow up with the teacher if this is the case for your child.
Can I see teacher feedback on my child's assignments?
Yes, teacher comments and feedback can be viewed in the Grades section under each assignment when you click on the "comment" icon.
