Hatching & cross hatching
When learning values an important component was hatching and cross hatching. For this assignment we were to draw and shade in a cylindrical form. My choice was my tea cup and I used black and white ink on a light warm grey toned paper.
working w/ watercolor
-This is a timed water color apples live painting. Done with ink and watercolor. This assignment was fun for me because watercolor is a medium I greatly adore and I had to learn how to be quick and precise.
Simple value scale practice, warm/cool.
Fractions of a young woman
For this assignment I ambitiously did 6 portraits of myself in various mediums. These are the two watercolor portraits I did. This was my first project in watercolor and was very tedious. Besides pencil for skecthing, these are done completely in watercolor.
