ELD Log

Each Learning Period (LP) students need to keep track of which approved ELD supports they are using to fulfill the California requirement of 30 minutes of daily English Language Development.

Families SHOULD record their login to their Parent Portal and sign and archive their student(s) ELD Log digitally.

The following are APPROVED English Language development supports that can be included on the ELD log.  The preferred supports are bolded:

• ELD Live class

• Creative IDEAS workbook (TK-8th grade)

• Language Live workbook (6th-12th grade)

• Lexia

• Reading Eggs

• Moby Max (TK-8th grade)

• JHVA/HSVA Live! English classes

• Acellus Discovery ESL (for Newcomers)

• Community Programs activities (ex: Field Trips, Clubs, Adventure Academy and Park days) with an asterisk*

• BrainPOP

• HST Sync Up 

• Tier 1 and Tier 2 Intervention classes

• Write Reflections with Learning Coach and HST involvement

• TK-3rd grade students have ELD embedded in their ELA curriculum, can write their grade-level curriculum on their ELD log.  Examples are listed below:
