Artists find inspiration from multiple sources. Observe the world around you as you think about your theme.
Read over the themes below. Choose the one you like best.
Myself. Think: memories, esteem, place in the world, pride, shame, family, heritage, ethnicity, self-portrait, friends, loves, enemies...
Beliefs and values. Think: cultural traditions, principles, or ideas you choose to live by...
Seascape. Think: marine life, beaches, lighthouses...
Use your workbook to create a Mind Map.
The map should include at least 3 ideas for each of the 3 levels. This will give you a minimum of ten (10) ideas.
In a new post, document your mind map by taking a picture of it for your Inspiration Post.
*Document objects that may lend inspiration to your project by posting images of:
3 forms (think about the actual 3D shape)
3 artworks that relate to your theme
3 textures (what do you notice? rough, smooth, scratchy…)
3 your choice (colors, animals, cars…)
Write a minimum of three sentences that include the following:
An explanation of WHY you selected the theme you choose.
How your images relate to your theme.
