The International Thespian Society (ITS) is the only theatre honor society for middle and high school students in the country. ITS recognizes, rewards, and encourages student achievement and celebrates the work of students in all aspects of theatre – performance and production. Each student is honored on a national level and gains access to opportunities and resources beyond those of their school. The students of Troupe #1844, Carlmont High School's chartered Thespian troupe, join over 2.4 million students who have been inducted into the International Thespian Society since 1929. Carlmont Drama students are eligible to become Thespians once they have accumulated 10+ Thespian points. (Please see Ms. Berg or a Thespian officer if you have questions about Thespian induction.)
Inducted Thespians are eligible to attend the State Thespian Festival in the spring.
