Drama 1
Who should take this class?
Students in all grades, with or without prior theatre experience
What can I expect?
A welcoming and supportive environment designed to provide students with a strong foundation in acting technique
Hands-on activities, game-based learning, script work, and performance opportunities
Curriculum includes ensemble work, basic performance skills (body & voice), theatre vocabulary, pantomime, improvisation, scene study & script analysis, radio drama, monologues, Shakespeare, costume design, and Commedia dell’Arte
Advanced Drama (Drama 2-4)
Who should take this class?
Students who have taken Drama 1 OR students with significant theatre experience
While Drama 1 is considered a prerequisite, students with significant experience may be eligible to have this waived. Reach out to Ms. Berg (eberg@seq.org) if you think you may be a good candidate.
All students, whether or not they have taken Drama 1, must pass a video audition to be accepted into the class.
What can I expect?
A welcoming, challenging, and ensemble-based learning environment
Opportunities to refine your skills through advanced techniques
A curriculum that changes each year. Most students repeat the class every year.
Special topics include specific playwrights and genres (Moliere, realism, etc.) and advanced acting techniques (Viewpoints, Meisner, Hagen, etc.)
A One-Act Festival that is produced and directed by the students and performed for a public audience
