About The Program

Our program is intentionally designed to be welcoming to all age groups. Younger students benefit from early exposure to rhythm, coordination, and creative expression, while older students and adults often discover a new passion or finally get the chance to try an instrument they have always been curious about. Mixed-age learning also creates a unique environment where participants encourage one another, build confidence, and grow together as musicians.

SoundForge is hands-on and experience based. Students rotate through instruments, build foundational skills, and gradually develop confidence on a primary instrument. As they progress, they collaborate with others, rehearse together, and learn how music works as a team effort. We focus not only on technique, but also on creativity, leadership, listening skills, and perseverance.

We follow a structured multi-week format that blends instruction with real playing experience. Sessions are divided between skill development and group rehearsal so students can apply what they learn immediately. We also provide instruments for use during sessions so that lack of equipment is never a barrier to participation.

At its core, SoundForge is about more than learning songs. It is about building confidence, building community, and creating a space where anyone, at any age, can discover the joy of making music.
