Curriculum Overview
Physics courses in SMP-SMA Semesta Bilingual Boarding School implements Cambridge Curriculum. Grade 9 and 10 cover the International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE) Physics. Grade 11 and 12 cover Cambridge International AS & A Level Physics.
English is the medium of instruction in all Physics lessons.
Each student is equipped with their own individual chromebooks, which make technology integration into lessons become a daily routine.
Teachers design variety of class acitivities during lessons, from group discussions, experiments, mind mapping, projects, etc. to make students engage in learning. Various apps and sites are used such as Quizizz, Quizlet, Kahoot, etc. Edunav is used as the learning management system.
Students grading are based on homeworks and assignments submitted by students, end-of-chapter quizzes, EASE exam, class participation, and students performance on skill assessments, such as experiments reports and presentation.
To achieve good grades, students are expected to actively participating the lessons and carefully keep track of their assignments.
Syllabuses (or annual plans) are distributed to students at the beginning of each academic year. These syllabuses give students and parents a picture of the topics students should master at the end of the academic year.

Students are provided with printed textbooks alongside digital resources that completely alligned with the standards of Cambridge Curriculum. Teachers might provide additional resources to help students gain mastery in the topics.
