Partial Immersion

What do we mean by partial immersion?

Most Apps can display a VR experience on almost any device, be it a laptop, tablet or mobile phone screen. You can use your mouse or finger swipes to move within the environment.

An alternative method is mainly taking your phone and inserting it within a Google Cardboard or Plastic casing, its more immersive, since you don't swipe around but rather look around but its relatively the same experience.

Google Expeditions

Google Expeditions is an immersive education app that allows teachers and students to explore the world through over 800 virtual-reality (VR) and 100 augmented-reality (AR) tours. You can swim with sharks, visit outer space, turn the classroom into a museum, and more without leaving the classroom.

Google Poly (Creator Tour)

Google Poly's Creator Tour allows you to create your own Google Expeditions that you can share or embed in a website. By using an app like Google Cardboard Camera, you can capture a 360 photo to create a scene, you can then add audio or text and by combining multiple scenes you can create an experience. Here is an example.
