NOMINATION PROCESS

PYP 5 – 6 students can apply to be candidates for STUCO President (only for PYP 6 candidates) - Vice President (for PYP 5 candidates) and officers. Each applicant must have a running mate and send an application letter consisting of motivation, vision, and action plans/ mission to either one of the advisers. The advisers will then nominate two pairs of President-Vice President.

CAMPAIGN 

President and Vice President Candidates will do an online campaign to introduce themselves and share their vision, mission, and goals. 

Guideline for the online campaign: 

• Introduction of both of you (photo in uniform)

• Your Vision & mission/goals as leaders

• Strength as President & Vice President

• Programs/events that you will do (max 4 events, you can divide into terms 1-4)

• Closing: Promoting yourself one more time (tagline, jargon)

• MUST WEAR school uniform in the video

• Video format: mp4

• Video duration: max 3 min. (each person 1.5 min)

• The video must be in one video of the P and VP candidates --> send to advisers (we will provide the folder).

Timeline:

• April 27 - 30, 2026 

Sending an online application (G-form) for a pair of President and Vice President complete with the reference statements (G-form) from 2 homeroom and 2 single subject teachers of the current academic year. The submission is at the latest on April 30, 2026, at 3 PM. Please note that only the PYP 5 students of the current academic year, can apply as the STUCO President or Vice President. The PYP 4 students of the current academic year, can only apply for the STUCO Vice President position. (President and Vice President Applicants need to prepare their slide or video presentation for the campaign process).

• May 4, 2026 

Candidates will be interviewed by the STUCO President & Vice President as well as the STUCO advisers. The preparation and online video hand in to advisers (Ms. Margareta/Nino, Ms. Corry, Ms. Beati, Ms. Stefani, and Ms. Ika).

• May 7 - 13, 2026 

Campaign (presentations of vision, goals, action plans; lead questions and answers sessions) during PYP 3, 4 and 5 assembly (time will be set up later).

• May 18, 2026 

Election Day with G-form (voting and counting digitally). The voting form opens at 8 AM & closes at 3 PM.

Note:

• The Online Election Day is on Monday, May 18, 2026, and the voters are from current PYP 3-6 students.

• References: 2 Class and 2 single subject teachers' recommendation forms (The teachers who teach the candidates in the current academic year). 

• If the P and VP candidates don’t get any reference/incomplete reference from their class teachers and the SS teachers, they will be directly disqualified. However, they can still apply for STUCO members.
