About T3

The Teachers Teaching Teachers conference (T3) was first held in 2006 and was organized by a group of Escuela Internacional Sampedrana (E.I.S.) educators in collaboration with the Discovery School of Tegucigalpa. T3 is currently organized and hosted annually by E.I.S. and Escuela Internacional La Lima (E.I.L.L.). The conference is funded by conference fees, along with additional financial support provided by E.I.S. and other donors such as the Association of Bilingual Schools of Honduras (ABSH).

The main purpose of the conference is to provide affordable and engaging professional development for Honduran bilingual school teachers. Because T3 was created for and is facilitated by teachers, we invite all teachers throughout Honduras to apply to present at the conference. There are many dedicated teachers right here in Honduras who implement outstanding practices to promote student learning. We believe that we educators can learn from each other which is why the conference is literally "Teachers Teaching Teachers." Teachers who attend T3 are challenged to grow, debate, and examine teaching practices in order to improve what happens in our classrooms, impacting not only the education in our own schools but throughout Honduras.
