The 14th SEGJ International Symposium

Road ahead for geophysics in digital society: Acquisition, processing, and interpretation

18 - 21, October 2021, ONLINE

Welcome to the 14th SEGJ international symposium

Dear colleagues and friends,

It is a great pleasure to welcome you to the 14th SEGJ international symposium held from 18 to 21 October 2021. Unfortunately, this year, we decided to have the symposium online for the first time since the first SEGJ international symposium was held in 1990 due to COVID-19. However, the progress of digital technologies is incredible, and we can easily connect and chat with people all over the world in a virtual space. We hope all participants use this event to share their knowledge, research, and great ideas with geoscientists worldwide and expand their network for future collaborations.

The theme of the symposium is “Road ahead for geophysics in digital society: Acquisition, processing, and interpretation”. We believe all presentations stimulate participants’ research interest and contribute to their development. Then, we hope many people can imagine the bright future of our society through active discussions in this symposium.

Yours Sincerely,

Yoshiya Oda,

Chair, the Organizing Committee, the 14th SEGJ International Symposium
