This year, students in grades 2-5 will have the opportunity to visit the AES specialists for an extra special once a week. This schedule rotates quarterly for the students. Mrs. Dudley and Mrs. McCoy are delighted to bring a new way of learning to them by combining tech and library into the Learning Lab! Ask your student all about it!

Welcome to the new year! Little librarians will be working on remembering school and library expectations as well as how to care for our books. They will learn how to care for them at home as well as on the shelves in our library. This week students in 1-5 were able to choose books to take home! Kindergarten will begin taking books to their classrooms next week.

The collection of titles in Sora is an extension of Aitken Elementary's physical library, only it’s in an app with 24/7 access to eBooks and audiobooks. It’s convenient for students to check out titles at home with no worry about misplacing a book – these digital titles automatically return at the end of the lending period!
How do I get started?
On a laptop, visit your Google waffle and look for the Sora icon
Click and select My school is MLS Commonwealth Book Collection
From the dropdown menu, choose Seekonk Town School
Sign in and authenticate using your school Google account
Browse & check out eBooks & audiobooks!
