Please use a microfiber cloth and press gently on the screen in a circular motion to clean it. You may also put a small amount of rubbing alcohol on the cloth to wipe the screen but make sure to dry it with a microfiber cloth.

Getting your device ready to clean

Here is where you begin, preparations. It involves three main procedures.

1. Ensure you completely power down your device. Press and hold the ‘Power’ key

2. Remove or disconnect any plugged-in components or cables. These could be external drives or charger/ USB cable

Cleaning your Chromebook/device

Use a dab of isopropyl alcohol (also known as rubbing alcohol) on a soft cloth microfiber cloth or towel is preferable) slowly, but firmly, go over your keys in a circular motion per each key. Rubbing alcohol doesn’t conduct electricity, so it is safe to use to clean and sanitize your keyboard and touchpad.
